arjeea21 is an artist-led group that promotes contemporary art by increasing public engagement with it, and by advancing artists' development though informal discussion, peer critique, skill sharing, and networking with other groups. The focus is on contemporary practice and the desire to progress in new directions.

Exhibitions are selected by the steering group, often from work that has developed through discussion at the bi-monthly meetings in Reading at OpenHand OpenSpace in Brock Keep. All media are welcome, eg photography, video, 3D, printmaking, performance, installation, painting, drawing, textiles and conceptual work.

arjeea21 is based in Reading (RG area) but has wider links, and includes artists from Canada, the former Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Germany, Romania, the UK, the US and the former Yugoslavia.
